Aparna Khale: Born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Aparna has always been fascinated by various styles of Indian folk art since childhood, especially attracted towards the Warli style which is part of the Adivasi culture from the border areas of Gujarat and Maharashtra. An artist by passion and fashion designer by training, Aparna took inspiration from the Warli art form into her designs. After immigrating from India, Aparna took a break from her professional life to take care of her family and raise two beautiful children but continued pursuing her passion for art by creating Warli styled paintings and products. Her love for Indian culture and desire to pass on our rich cultural heritage to the next generation, especially those away from India, has inspired her to take on teaching the Warli art form to children. Aparna conducts personalized sessions for children in various age groups to help develop an interest in Indian folk art as well as learn the techniques and the finer details of the Warli art form.
