Guru Ji Simmi Rishi is a traditional folk artist, who inherited the basics of art from her father. After her marriage, she took her passion for art seriously and completed a diploma in painting and folk art. Following her passion added many feathers in her cap like Gold Medals from Banghiya Sangeet Parishad, Kolkata, and Gallery Sree Arts Gurgaon. She worked almost 8 years with Delhi Public School Gurgaon as an art instructor. Since 2012 she is working freelance and teaching art. As an artist, her works had been displayed and sold in many exhibitions.
Learn Madhubani. painting of Ardhanareeshwara, this course is for everyone to learn an authentic and beautiful painting remotely. This course teaches a combined form of Shiva and Shakti. In the course, the learning of figures is taught in a simple manner along with using lines for ornamentation. The entire course is structured in a way where details of this art have been taught in an easy way. Kachhni and Bharni both techniques are introduced in this course.
Madhubani Art is a folk style of painting from eastern parts of India. Eye-catching patterns and vibrant colors have made it popular globally. These paintings portray the traditions and culture of that region, which is transported from one generation to another. These paintings mostly depict nature, deities from the ancient epics, and life style of people. Generally, no space is left empty in the paintings. Flowers, leaves, birds, or geometric designs are used as fillers. Traditionally fingers, twigs, matchsticks were used to complete drawings. Color is mostly obtained from nature. Every work needs a cow dung wash before starting painting which makes it authentic and still, that is in practice.
