Madhubani Art is a folk style of painting from eastern parts of India. Eye-catching patterns and vibrant colors have made it popular globally. These paintings portray the traditions and culture of that region, which is transported from one generation to another. These paintings mostly depict nature, deities from the ancient epics, and life style of people. Generally, no space is left empty in the paintings. Flowers, leaves, birds, or geometric designs are used as fillers. Traditionally fingers, twigs, matchsticks were used to complete drawings. Color is mostly obtained from nature. Every work needs a cow dung wash before starting painting which makes it authentic and still, that is in practice.
